This is a proposal for neutrophil function inspection system using a chemiluminescence method and hydrogel that can separate chemotactic cells or organisms. This system can easily take quantitative measurements of neutrophil functions (chemotactic activity, active oxygen-producing capacity) with short life span using whole blood. A study is currently being conducted on the measurement of the anti-oxidizing capacity of neutrophil on pectin and lycopene.
