- This study aimed to improve the safety information sharing checklists, which were created as a tool for sharing safety information among stakeholders involved in developing assistive devices, by requesting feedback from experts in long-term care and machine safety. The study also aimed to develop an app based on the checklists. Regarding the former objective, the feedback received from the relevant experts indicated that, while the checklist was considered easy to complete, the comprehensiveness of the information and the extent to which information sharing improves safety were deemed to be insufficient, particularly from the perspective of machine safety. The challenge that was identified was therefore how to share device-specific risk information while maintaining the checklists’ ease of completion. Regarding the latter, the checklists were converted into an online format as a prototype for the app. In subsequent developments, efforts will be made to enhance the checklists to address the challenges identified through the feedback sessions, while concurrently undertaking the development of a user-friendly checklist application, with the objective of having stakeholders evaluate it.
