- This research focused on an international comparison of cultural tourism — a topic that has attracted increasing attention in Japan’s cultural policy in recent years — by analyzing the clustering of cultural institutions, the creation of contextual frameworks and visitor pathways linking them, and the methods used to present these elements, as well as efforts toward multilingualism and digitization. Since the focus had been on Germany until FY 2025, feasibility studies were conducted through on-site surveys to determine whether it would be possible to include Vienna, Austria, as a future research subject.
