- This research examines the semantics of negative affixes and seeks to establish a systematic framework for their classification. In particular, it explores several key parameters that can be used in analyzing and categorizing such expressions. The findings show, first, that affixal expressions derived from loanwords can be classified mainly from the perspective of evaluative meaning. Second, by focusing on gradability and prototypicality in tautological constructions, the study clarifies the relationships among these constructions. Third, an analysis of adverbial phrases demonstrates that phonological characteristics can also function as effective parameters for classifying linguistic expressions.
