During the course of this grant, I have pursued research on the intersections between contemporary art and technology, with the 2025 Osaka World Expo serving as a key point of inspiration and investigation. Through ongoing and newly established collaborations with artists whose work engages critically with technology, I have explored how current technological developments—particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence—are reshaping artistic practice and raising fundamental questions about creativity and authorship. This line of inquiry has proven especially productive, leading to the expansion of my research beyond the field of art into a broader investigation of AI and its implications for the humanities, which now forms the basis of my current Tokusei Kadai project. The field research, studio visits, exhibition attendance, and collaborative exchanges conducted under this grant have been instrumental in advancing my work and opening new directions for future research.
