研究成果概要

This report summarizes the research outcomes from the project aiming to integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) into copus tools.

1. Integration of LLM into AntConc: LLMs were successfully embedded into AntConc, enhancing its capabilities for linguistic analysis. The final release of this tool is currently undergoing testing by researchers within the field, with promising initial results. 2. Presentations at Conferences: The new tool was showcased in several keynote and plenary talks at both national and international conferences. The new tool attracted significant attention and interest from corpus linguists as well as the teaching community. 3. Workshop Introduction in New Zealand: A workshop introducing the new tool was held in New Zealand, specifically aimed at vocabulary researchers. This event provided an opportunity for researchers to familiarize themselves with the enhanced functionalities of AntConc and explore its potential applications in vocabulary research. 4. Potential Collaboration with Kuwait University: The research has sparked interest from researchers at Kuwait University, Kuwait City, Kuwait, leading to discussions about potential collaborations. This collaboration holds promise for further advancing the integration of LLMs into corpus analysis tools and expanding research horizons. 5. Discussion in Celebratory Podcast: The significance of this research was highlighted as part of a 25th celebratory podcast dedicated to corpus research. The podcast served as a platform to reflect on the evolution of AntConc and the transformative impact of integrating LLMs into the tool. 6. Future Conference Discussions: The research is scheduled to be further presented at various national and international conferences throughout Academic Year 2024.

The integration of LLMs into AntConc represents a significant advancement in corpus analysis methodology. Through presentations, workshops, potential collaborations, and academic discussions, this research has garnered attention and recognition within the linguistic community, paving the way for future innovations in the field of NLP and corpus linguistics.
