研究成果概要

I presented my current research project titled “Job Search, Job Findings and the Role of Unemployment Insurance History” to the following invited talks, workshops and international conferences:

University of Tokyo, National University of Singapore, Osaka University, National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Australasian Search and Matching Workshop (UNSW), Asia-Pacific Search and Matching Virtual Workshop (discussant), The Canon Institute for Global Studies Macroeconomics Conference (Tokyo), Annual Meeting of the Central Bank Research Association (Federal Reserve Bank of New York/Columbia University) (discussant), The Econometric Society Australasian Meeting (UNSW), Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society (Nanyang Technological University), Asia-Pacific Search and Matching Summer In-Person Workshop (Tokyo) (discussant).

My project received many useful and instructive comments and suggestions during my presentation sessions from these conferences. I had later used them to improve and revise my draft for this project, particularly the estimation part, so that it will be appropriate to be submitted for the consideration of publication at a high-impact journal afterwards.

Additionally, I have also worked on a related research project titled “The Impact of Unemployment Insurance Extensions on the Cyclicality of Labour Force Participation” with Ran Gu who is an assistant professor in economics at the University of Essex and a research scholar at the Institute of Fiscal Studies. In this project, we study how unemployment insurance extensions may affect the decisions of workers to enter the labour force under a general equilibrium setup.
