- This research project focuses on the imagination of the decline of urban public space, especially because of COVID-19 and other reasons, this phenomenon has been accelerated, and it is more reflected in blocks with commercial as the main function. But at the same time, some neighborhoods took the lead in recovering from the epidemic because of their flexible resilience.This study collects and arranges first-hand data through field surveys on the blocks in the Okubo area of Tokyo and the blocks in the central urban area of Okinawa, in preparation for subsequent paper submissions.During the research process, I also got acquainted with many local shops and trade unions to accumulate for further questionnaires and exchange meetings.
