As a technology to immobilize carbon dioxide (CO2), a major greenhouse gas, various efforts are being made, including carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS). On the other hand, CO2 is considered as an unused chemical resource, and efforts to efficiently synthesize chemical products from CO2 have been attracting attention in recent years. In particular, the electroreduction of CO2 is a topic of great social contribution, since it has the potential to produce CO2-free fuels and chemicals in addition to the effective use of CO2 by using surplus renewable energy during the daytime. it is known that the selectivity of CO as a raw material for the FT method increases when using Au electrodes. However, the use of precious metal as an electrode will be a hindrance to their widespread use in the future as well as that of platinum in fuel cells. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the use of none-precious metal in parallel. In this study, we evaluated the reduction property of Zn, one of none-precious metal in Ⅻ materials.
