本研究課題は、グローバリゼーションに伴う地域産業をめぐる関係性の変化を分析することを目的としている。日本の工業化の政治･社会的背景をグローバルな視点で捉え、陶磁器生産が持続的に発展した地域における陶磁器業をめぐる環境の変化、海外市場への編入の影響について分析を行った。今年度は、先行研究の議論の整理とともに、本研究の学術的位置づけを示すため、グローバル研究に関する理論的考察を学術誌、国際学会にて報告した。

This study examines the dynamics of relations in regional industrial manufacturing sectors in modern Japan in the context of globalization. It analyzes the relations of porcelain manufacturing and distribution from the late 19^th century to the early 20^th century in Japan. It examines how the networks for manufacturing and distributing porcelains extended from the regional production sites to the national and global markets. It examines the regional differences in the process of manufacturing and distributing porcelains, including the major agents, strategies, and the source of funding. It also surveys how the pre-existing practices and relations shaped the ways of organizing resources for producing and distributing porcelains. The researcher published a review article of theoretical discussion on global studies in academic journal and presented the paper in an international conference.
