千野は、10月にインド・デリーのネルー大学で行われたInternational Conference to Mark 100 Years of Lu Xun’s A Madman’s Diaryに参加して、Exploring the birth of modern Chinese literature from three diaries――Luxun（鲁迅） and Gogol’s A Madman’ Diary《狂人日记》and Zhou Shoujuan（周瘦鹃）’s Duanchang Riji《断肠日记》(diary of grief ) と題する学術報告を行うとともに、ネルー大学の学生を対象に、サブカルチャーと村上春樹の受容についてアンケート調査を行った。
