A unique system that uses the total reactivity with ozone (RO3) has been developed for measuring biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) emitted from vegetation into the atmosphere. Recently, the sensitivity of the ozone monitor in the analyzer has been improved. Additionally, as another application of improved RO3 analyzer, temperature dependence of rate coefficients, k(T), of the reaction linalool+O3 was experimentally determined successfully. In this study, temperature dependence of ozone reactivity, RO3(T), of real samples emitted from plants was experimentally determined. As practical tests, the tangerine peals and the coffee beans were used as the simulated sources of BVOCs into the air.
