In this work, we proposed the inter-symbol interference suppression method employing compressed sensing for OFDM systems which can be seen as a promising transmission technique in 5th generation (5G) mobile networks. The feature of the proposed approach is to demodulate the latter part of the time domain OFDM symbol by using compressed sensing under the assumption of sparse subcarrier allocation. Numerical results by means of computer simulation showed that the superiority of the proposed method over the tradition method using FFT demodulation can be found in the mid-range delay spread.
